Manuel Farach Named Chairman of PBC Commission on Ethics

West Palm Beach, FL – June 7, 2012 –  Manuel Farach, Of Counsel with the law firm of Richman Greer, P.A.,  has been named Chairman of the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics. The Commission’s purpose is to enforce the Palm Beach County Code of Ethics and educate government officials and employees in Palm Beach County about the Code of Ethics. Farach was appointed to the Commission by the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of Palm Beach County and the F. Malcolm Cunningham Bar Association.

Farach’s practice focuses in the areas of real estate and business law; including lender representation; debtor/creditor; bankruptcy and complex mortgage foreclosure litigation; landlord/tenant law; Internet law; construction and development law, and A.D.R., including, arbitration and mediation. An active community leader, Farach is currently the President of the Guild of Catholic Lawyers of the Diocese of Palm Beach, Vice Chair of the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions for Contract and Business cases and President-Elect of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches. He has served as President of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and the Hispanic Bar Association of Palm Beach County. Farach has been appointed to serve on numerous high profile committees including the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission, where he served as Chair, and the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Judicial Campaign Practices Committee. Over the years, Farach has also served on numerous Florida Bar committees including as Chair of the Computer Law Committee and Chair of the Business Litigation Committee.

Farach is a past President of the Craig S. Barnard Chapter of the American Inns of Court, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and FINRA. He previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate Law at the Florida State University College of Law (where he sits on the Alumni Association Board of Directors) and of Business Law at the Rinker School of Business at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Farach received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law cum laude, where he served on the Law Review, and has clerked at both the trial and appellate levels of the Florida courts.
