Miami, Fla. – June 18, 2012 – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that two associates joined the firm’s South Florida offices — Leigh Esposito and Michael D. Sloan. Esposito practices in the firm’s Insurance practice group and works in the firm’s Miami office. Sloan works in the firm’s West Palm Beach office and practices in the firm’s Appellate and Trial Support Practice Group, which comprises 18 attorneys dedicated to full-time appellate litigation and trial support and 11 Florida Bar board certified appellate specialists — more than any other firm in Florida.

Esposito represents and advises insurers and corporations in various aspects of insurance litigation, including commercial-property coverage disputes, policy interpretation and defense of bad faith litigation. As a former staff law clerk for the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia and summer associate at McDermott Will & Emery LLP, Sloan’s experience includes writing bench memoranda and drafting opinions for the Court in the areas of employment, civil rights, financial regulation, administrative law, criminal law, sentencing and habeas corpus; drafting memoranda for complex civil litigation matters; and drafting orders of protection for battered women.
