Fox Rothschild Names New Office Managing Partners in Florida, New York and Pennsylvania


PHILADELPHIA, PA – April 3, 2012 – Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce its appointment of three new office managing partners, effective April 1.

Assuming the roles of managing partner for their respective offices are:
Amy Rubin, West Palm Beach, FL
Michael Slapo, New York, NY
William Stang, Pittsburgh, PA.

In their office managing partner roles, the three appointees will oversee day-to-day office operations and serve on the firm’s executive committee, which sets overall firm policy. Rubin assumes the role from Joseph Kulunas in West Palm Beach; Slapo from Glenn Greenfader in New York; and Stang from Jay Marinstein in Pittsburgh. The firm would like to thank our former managing partners for their excellent service and leadership.

Rubin focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and is a certified specialist in Civil Trial and Business Litigation Law by The Florida Bar. She has a diverse practice, which encompasses contract disputes, real estate, loan workouts, probate litigation, actions brought under Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA),employment matters including Title VII, and trade secret and restrictive covenant cases involving non-compete agreements, trademark and general bank operational litigation matters. She has substantial trial, including class actions, experience in state and federal courts. Rubin earned her J.D., cum laude, from Saint Louis University School of Law and her B.A., with honors, from University of Maryland.

Slapo focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, representing owners, purchasers, landlords and tenants of office, retail and special-use properties. He represents and counsels petroleum companies, specifically refiners, wholesalers and distributers of branded retail gas product. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Electronic Communications Committee and the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy and Resources’ Petroleum Marketing Committee. Slapo earned his J.D. from Jacob D. Fuchsberg, Touro Law Center and his B.A. from Hofstra University.

Stang has more than 20 years of experience in resolving business disputes. He handles general and complex commercial matters for a variety of clients, including middle-market businesses, small- to medium-size manufacturers and health care practice groups. He has substantial trial and appellate experience in federal and states courts as well as in AAA arbitrations. He is a past chairperson and present member of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Committee, 2008 Class of Fellows and Attorneys Against Hunger Committee. He earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from University of Pittsburgh.
