TAMPA, FL— March 7, 2012 —Rachel S. Peterkin has joined the Tampa office of GrayRobinson, P.A. as an of-counsel attorney in the real estate practice group. Peterkin brings over 13 years of experience to the firm and will focus her practice on commercial real estate. She has represented clients with the negotiation of commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements as well as reviewing, negotiating and drafting construction and design contracts, among others.
“Rachel is a well-rounded attorney who will bring additional depth to the GrayRobinson real estate practice group,” said GrayRobinson president Byrd F. “Biff” Marshall, Jr. “Her extensive knowledge and practice will be of significant benefit to our clients and our firm.”
Throughout her career, Peterkin has gained valuable experiences across a broad-range of areas both and complementary to the legal industry, including advising government officials on economic development, tourism and international trade issues. She has also assisted with the formulation of federal and state immigration policies.
Peterkin is an active member of the professional and local community. She presently serves as website subcommittee chair for the Construction Law Committee of The Florida Bar, is a member of The Hillsborough County Bar Association, and has served on the board of directors for the Polk Theatre and participated in Leadership Westshore (Class of 2003).
She received both her juris doctorate and undergraduate degrees from Florida State University.
