William T. Harrison & David Barnhill join Sharp Kemm

William T. Harrison and David Barnhill have joined Sharp Kemm in Tampa. 


Harrison’s practice focuses on inbound and outbound international tax matters for closely-held businesses and high net worth families, including cross-border trust and estate planning.  Mr. Harrison has vast experience in international tax controversy matters at all levels with the Internal Revenue Service, including initial audits, criminal investigations, administrative protests and appeals, private letter ruling requests and United States Tax Court proceedings.  Mr. Harrison has also handled numerous remedial compliance and voluntary disclosure matters with the Internal Revenue Service.

Barnhill will focus on international tax planning of U.S. and foreign-based multinationals, Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, inbound and outbound international tax planning for individuals, and international tax controversy representation.

Mr. Barnhill received his Bachelor of Arts in Russian from Brigham Young University, and his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. In 2011, he received his LL.M. in taxation from the New York University School of Law. Prior to obtaining his LL.M. in Taxation, Mr. Barnhill clerked with the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel in New York, as well as Indiana.
