GRAYROBINSON ATTORNEY SUPPORTS THE CORNERSTONE HOSPICE FOUNDATION AS NEW BOARD AND COMMITTEE MEMBER

ORLANDO, FL – November 10, 2011 – Richard L. Barry, an attorney in the Orlando office of GrayRobinson P.A., was recently elected to serve on the Cornerstone Hospice Ethics Committee (August 2011), as well as the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation Orange County Advisory Board of Directors (September 2011) and the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation Board of Directors (October 2011). In his new roles, Barry will help achieve the organization’s goal of providing quality hospice care to all persons, their families and those affected by serious illness or death in the community.

The civil trial attorney focuses his practice on medical malpractice defense, property claims, health law, general insurance defense and other types of personal injury defense and complex litigation. He has extensive experience representing physicians, hospitals, long-term care facilities, nurses, technologists and other health care providers across the state of Florida in matters involving professional liability, risk management, general liability and premise liability. Barry has litigated civil matters for his clients in both federal and state jurisdictions as well as state administrative actions involving professional licensure and discipline.

Aside from practicing in the courtroom, Barry is a member of the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar Health Law Section, the Orange County Bar Association, Florida Academy of Healthcare Attorneys, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, George C. Young First Central Florida Inn of Court, Broward County Bar Association and the Central Florida Medical Malpractice Claims Council.

The Central Florida native earned both his juris doctorate and bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
