ATTORNEY HARLENE KENNEDY APPOINTED TO THE MIAMI-DADE COMMUNITY RELATIONS BOARD

Harlene Kennedy, an attorney with the firm of Weiss Serota Helfman Pastoriza Cole & Boniske, was named to the Miami-Dade Community Relations Board. The mission of the Community Relations Board is to intervene and contain community tensions as quickly as possible. Kennedy, who is Of Counsel with the firm, specializes in municipal law, construction, procurement, utilities and social media issues.

“I am looking forward to serving on the Board, and working with the dedicated professionals who seek to foster understanding of the complex issues that impact our community,” said Kennedy.

The Community Relations Board works proactively to identify and relieve intergroup conflicts before crises arise and to develop bridges of understanding and support programs in the community.

Kennedy has extensive experience in both municipal law and real estate. She began her practice in New York, was a partner in a San Antonio law firm, and served as assistant city attorney in San Antonio, Texas in the areas of public works and eminent domain. She is a also on the Foster Care Review Citizens Review Panel, member of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and was admitted to Texas, New York and New Jersey Bars, as well as Florida.
