David B. Mankuta Appointed Chair of the Seventeenth Circuit Grievance Committee “I”

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – David B. Mankuta, a shareholder of the Fort Lauderdale law firm of Atkinson, Diner, Stone, Mankuta & Ploucha, P.A., was recently appointed chair of the Seventeenth Circuit Grievance Committee “I.” Mankuta is currently in his second year on the Grievance Committee.

The Grievance Committees are made up of volunteer members. Each of Florida’s 20 judicial circuits has at least one Grievance Committee. The committees review complaints with much of the same purpose as a grand jury.


Mankuta focuses his practice on construction, building codes and related issues, administrative issues, bid protests, commercial disputes, land use and zoning, and governmental relations. He is a specialist in construction law, and was one of the first attorneys in Florida to be board-certified in construction law. He also holds Martindale Hubbell’s highest “AV” rating.

He has more than three decades of experience as an attorney, he earned his juris doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law after graduating from the University of Hartford. Mankuta is admitted to practice in all Florida courts and the US District court for the Southern District and Middle District of Florida. He is a regular speaker at attorney and trade group seminars, particularly on complex issues relating to construction law.
