Adele Stone Elected a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers


Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Adele I. Stone, a shareholder of the South Florida law firm of Atkinson, Diner, Stone, Mankuta & Ploucha, P.A., was recently elected a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.

Stone is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Real Estate Law. She concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial real estate and general business law, including commercial purchase/sale transactions, loan transactions, leasing, corporate and business transactions, joint ventures and title insurance issuance, claims and negotiations. She is also an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.

The College was founded in 1978, it has a very selective membership comprised of lawyers recognized for their legal acumen and proven leadership that could speak effectively to issues of real estate law, regulation and practice. Admission is by invitation only, and is available to those lawyers who have established expertise in real estate law, who observe high standards of professional and ethical conduct, who have contributed substantially to improvement of real estate law and who actively practice and have a minimum of ten years experience in real estate law.

Stone is President of NAIOP’s Florida Statewide Chapter, serves on the Board of Directors of its PAC and is Immediate Past Vice President of Public Affairs and Board of Directors member for NAIOP, South Florida Chapter. She has also demonstrated her commitment to the Florida Bar over several years. She was recently elected, without opposition, to the Florida Bar Board of Governors 17th Judicial Circuit and is immediate past President of The Florida Bar Foundation. She is also the Co-chairperson of the Pro Bono Committee of The Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Section. Additionally, Stone is a member of the Steering Committee of The Florida Bar/Florida Bar Foundation sponsored statewide pro bono program (FASH) developed to represent homeowners under the threat of foreclosure. Additionally, she is a founding member and past Chairperson of the Executive Council of Legal Aid Services of Broward County/Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida.

Adele Stone has been honored as one of Florida Trend's Legal Elite, Florida Super Lawyers and by the South Florida Legal Guide as one of the area’s top real estate attorneys. She has also been selected for inclusion in the 2009 and 2010 editions of The Best Lawyers In America for Real Estate Law.

After graduating with high honors from the University of Florida, Stone earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
