Broad and Cassel Tampa Office Hires Cristen Martinez


May 10, 2011 – Steven G. Burton, managing partner of the Tampa office of the Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel, is pleased to announce the addition of Associate Cristen Martinez, who joins the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group.

Martinez has been practicing with Broad and Cassel since receiving her juris doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2010. Prior to passing the Florida Bar, Martinez served as a law clerk with the firm conducting legal research, drafting complaints, motions and other legal documents and attending hearings, depositions, mediations and client meetings.


Martinez also served as a Judicial Intern for Judge Cheryl Thomas at the George E. Edgecomb Courthouse. In this role, she gained knowledge in criminal, family, corporate and civil law. She also worked at the State Attorney’s Office in Tallahassee, Fla.

A cum laude graduate of Florida State University, Martinez is active with the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor program and has participated in Race for the Cure.
