Novick began his professional legal career with the Office of the Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, where he served as assistant. He was involved in representing indigent clients with cases ranging from misdemeanors to first-degree felonies. Currently, he is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Novick earned his juris doctorate from the Western New England College School of Law, where he served as production editor for the Western New England Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire.
