BOB DE LA FUENTE APPOINTED TO DOWNTOWN MIAMI’S PROPERTY INCENTIVES COMMITTE

MIAMI (June 5, 2012) – Attorney Bob de la Fuente, a partner at Miami-based law firm Tew Cardenas LLP, was recently appointed to Downtown Miami’s Property Incentives Committee, an incentive program funded by the Miami Downtown Development Authority and administered by the Downtown Miami Partnership.

As a member of the Property Incentives Committee, de la Fuente will review applications from property and business owners applying for grant funding for qualified exterior improvements to commercial buildings and properties in Downtown Miami’s central business district. The goal of the program is to improve the physical environment and enhance the overall perception of the district, while supporting increased economic activity and investment.

Eligible properties must be located throughout the central business district of Downtown Miami and must have ground floor commercial space suitable for retail. Properties in or around Flagler Street receive priority consideration.

LEED AP accredited by the Green Building Certification Institute, de la Fuente represents developers, private property owners, hotels and other commercial entities in land use and zoning matters, including appeals and general municipal-related issues. He has been recognized as a Heavy Hitter in Commercial Real Estate in the South Florida Business Journal and a Florida Legal Leader in Florida Trend’s Legal Elite since 2007.

Actively involved in the community, de la Fuente serves as chair of the Miart Foundation, on the board of directors of Zoetic Stage, and was a founding member of the Miami-Dade County Asian-American Advisory Board. He is a past member of the Best Buddies of Miami Advisory Board and served as its chair from 2008-2009.
