Richard Lydecker Joins Camp Boggy Creek



EUSTIS, Fla (February 27, 2012) – Camp Boggy Creek has announced the appointment of Richard Lydecker to its Board of Directors. Lydecker, senior partner with Miami-based law firm Lydecker Diaz, is a long time resident of Miami and a community advocate.

“This appointment reflects Camp Boggy Creek’s continued commitment to recruit strong business leaders throughout Florida where we serve seriously ill children. Richard’s knowledge, skill, and expertise will be invaluable to the Camp’s strategic initiatives” said Pat Cooper, chairman of the board of Camp Boggy Creek.

Lydecker is founding partner of Lydecker Diaz. Under his leadership, the firm has grown by more than 50 percent over the past three years. He has a diverse and extensive background in the general practice of civil litigation, with a concentration in commercial litigation, insurance defense, professional liability, First Amendment and media litigation. Lydecker is chairman of the Miami Dade Democratic Party, board member of the Miami Downtown Development Authority, and a member of the Federal Judicial Nominating Committee which nominates candidates to the President of the United States for appointments to the Federal Bench and the US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.
