Robert A. Harper, III Joins Broad and Cassel’s Tallahassee Office


TALLAHASSEE, Fla.; January 3, 2012 — The Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel is pleased to announce that Robert “Gus” A. Harper, III  has joined the Tallahassee office as Of Counsel in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group.

Harper’s experience encompasses a broad spectrum of legal practices, including family, criminal, first amendment, real estate and appellate law, among other areas.


Harper is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Academy of Civil Trial Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has been recognized among the “Best Lawyers in America” and “Florida’s Super Lawyers,” and as a “Legal Elite” by Florida Trend magazine.

His community service includes volunteering for the Florida Arts & Cultural Enrichment program and pro bono work for the Innocence Project. He has also served as a volunteer with the Second Judicial Circuit Courthouse in Gainesville, Florida.

Harper graduated with honors from Florida State University and received his juris doctorate with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He also studied at the University of Montpellier in France.
