TAMPA, Fla.; Steven Burton, managing partner of the Tampa office of the Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel, announced Mark Barber has been named a Partner with the firm effective January 1, 2012. Barber was previously an associate in the Tampa office and serves as a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation, Labor and Employment, and Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Practice Groups. David Rosemberg of the firm’s Miami office was also invited to the partnership at the 170-attorney Florida law firm. Rosemberg was previously senior counsel in the Miami office and serves as a member of the firm's Complex Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property and Securities Litigation Practice Groups.

Barber has handled legal matters for a variety of public sector clients, both in the legislative and executive branches, as well as representation of county government, school district and law enforcement organizations. In the private sector, his representation has served clients in various industries, such as energy and telecommunications, PEO and employment leasing, finance and lending, real estate development, managed health care, physicians and physician practice groups, software development, charitable organizations, civil engineering, business brokering, motor vehicle sales and property management.
Barber graduated cum laude from Stetson College of Law. While at Stetson, he served as a board member with the Stetson Moot Court Board, and interned with the federal and appellate courts. He was named a ‘Rising Star’ in "Florida Super Lawyers" by Law & Politics magazine 2010 and 2011. Most recently, he has been chosen as one of the “12 Attorneys to Watch in 2012” by the Greater Tampa Bay Edition of Attorney at Law Magazine.

Rosemberg's practice includes representing clients in a wide range of business matters, including contract disputes, deceptive business practices and related business torts, and brand protection. He is fluent in Spanish and represents high-net worth individuals and corporate clients located throughout Latin and South America with interests in Florida and throughout the United States.
Rosemberg also has experience and an interest in the arts. His client base includes art dealers, collectors, museum professionals, consultants and artists from around the world. He serves as vice president for the Bakehouse Art Complex, a prominent local non-profit.
He has been honored as a ‘Rising Star’ in "Florida Super Lawyers" by Law & Politics magazine, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
He is a graduate of James Madison College Michigan State University and received his juris doctor from Emory University School of Law. He serves as treasurer of the Board of Directors for the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce’s Inter-American Chapter.
