Stanley B. Price Recognized by Builders Association of South Florida for Lifetime Achievements

MIAMI – December 12, 2011 – The Builders Association of South Florida has awarded the 2011 Al Singer Spirit of the Industry Award to Stanley B. Price in recognition of his career excellence, great counsel and true professionalism. The award was presented at the 2012 BASF installation event on December 2, 2011 at the Grand Double Tree Hotel in Miami.

Since 1987, Mr. Price has been actively involved with Builders Association of South Florida. He has provided legal counsel on a pro bono basis, written and helped revise ordinances, facilitated presentations on BASF´s behalf before the Miami-Dade County Commission, represented BASF on subcommittees and served in various leadership positions. In 2005, he was honored for his dedication to the industry by being inducted into the BASF Hall of Fame for a lifetime of achievement. In addition, Mr. Price was awarded the BASF Presidents Award in 2005-2007.

As chair of Bilzin Sumberg’s Land Use & Government Relations Practice Group, Mr. Price has worked at the forefront of Florida land use law, and often serves as the principal draftsman of important land use legislation. He is frequently consulted on the subjects of owners’ and developers’ rights, as well as complex zoning and permitting issues. In addition to representing clients in land use, Mr. Price works extensively with government and regulatory agencies, and developers and landowners to examine, interpret and establish land use policy. He has served as special land use counsel to several Florida municipalities and as the special magistrate in land use litigation for the Miami-Dade County and Orange County Circuit Courts.
