Barry Somerstein Appointed President of Broward Performing Arts Foundation

FT. LAUDERDALE, FLA.  –Barry Somerstein, Shareholder with Ruden McClosky’s Corporate, Real Estate and Land Use Practice Groups, has been appointed president of the Broward Performing Arts Foundation for a one-year term. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Somerstein served as the organization’s vice president. The Board of Directors is comprised of business and community leaders who play a critical role in supporting the mission and operation of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts through it charitable foundation. 


Mr. Somerstein concentrates his practice in the area of real estate transactional law, finance, leasing, general corporate sports law and land use. Mr. Somerstein has represented many clients in the negotiation, structuring and documenting of real estate asset transactions, primarily in connection with shopping centers, hotels, and office buildings. Additionally, he works with developer clients in connection with the acquisition, permitting, land use planning, finance, and development of large tracts of real estate.
