The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1921 to promote the economic well‐being of Miami Beach's citizens, to improve the quality of life for the entire community and to communicate the view of the business community on major issues of public policy.
Mayer’s involvement in Miami Beach has been extensive. In addition to being a Pillar Member of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, she serves on the Transportation and Parking Committee for the City of Miami Beach, and graduated from the City of Miami Beach Leadership Academy. Mayer was also a candidate for the Miami Beach City Commission.
The Board of Governors serves as the governing body for the Chamber. Its representatives oversee the Chamber's community involvement and work toward improving the city, as well as to contribute to its residential and business community growth and success.
Mayer is a member of Carlton Fields’ Corporate, Securities & Tax Practice Group. She focuses her practice on corporate law and a wide variety of legal transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, private equity and venture capital investments and related general corporate matters. She represents both U.S. and non-U.S. entities in a wide range of domestic and international corporate matters including multi-jurisdictional projects. She has represented private and public companies, entrepreneurs and private equity funds in a wide variety of strategic and financial transactions as well as in corporate governance and other general corporate matters. Mayer received her J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Florida.
