Stephen Siegel Joins Broad and Cassel

Stephen Siegel, a Board Certified Health Law Attorney with more than 25 years experience, has joined the Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel. He joins the firm’s nationally-known Health Law Practice Group and is based out of the Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices.

“Stephen’s extensive experience in health law rounds out our full-service practice serving all facets of the health care industry,” said Mike Segal, chair of the firm’s Health Law Practice Group.

An AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, Siegel focuses his practice on assisting clients who include individual physicians and group practices, ambulatory surgical centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health agencies, hospices, hospitals, clinical laboratories, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical wholesalers.

Most recently, Siegel served as general counsel for Millennium Management, LLC, in Miami and was a shareholder with Ruden, McClosky, P.A., for more than 13 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Florida State University and a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.

His numerous accolades include six-time “Florida Super Lawyer,” 2010 “The Best Lawyers in America” and 2009 Chambers USA “Leader in the Field” designee. He has been active with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the Arts & Business Council of Miami, and speaks and writes frequently on current health law issues.

Broad and Cassel’s Health Law Practice Group is comprised of some of the most experienced health law attorneys in the country. Being based in Florida, the cutting edge market for white collar, government regulatory and whistleblower cases, gives this group of uniquely qualified attorneys a level of insight and experience found nowhere else. The partners have been working as a closely-knit statewide team for more than 25 years, representing major national health care clients who do business in Florida.

In addition to a full-service menu of health law services, the principal members of the practice group are sought after nationally for their experience and knowledge in white collar crime, health care fraud, and compliance issues, third party reimbursement, medical group consolidation and formation and governmental and regulatory issues.

Once again, the practice received top honors in Florida from Chambers USA: A Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers, the only legal directory to rank law firms and individual attorneys. The group’s leading attorneys, Gabriel Imperato and Mike Segal, received national recognition in their respective areas of practice, ranking among the best in the country. The directory quotes one source as saying, "I would not go to another firm in the state for healthcare regulatory advice."

Broad and Cassel established its founding office in Miami in 1946. The Firm’s Miami attorneys focus their practices primarily in the following areas of law: Complex Commercial Litigation, Corporate and Securities, Eminent Domain, Estate Planning and Trusts, Health Law and Litigation, Insurance Defense and Risk Management, International Law, Labor and Employment Law, and Real Estate. Broad and Cassel has more than 160 lawyers and 200 support personnel located in eight offices throughout the state of Florida. The Firm has extensive experience in a wide variety of corporate practice areas and industries. For more information, please visit us online at www.BroadandCassel.com
