Ft. Lauderdale, FL – June 22, 2011 – Michele K. Cummings, a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of GrayRobinson, P.A., is being installed as president of The Florida Bar Foundation—a statewide charitable organization that funds programs to expand representation and advocacy on behalf of low-income persons in civil legal matters.
“Michele has played an important role within the organization for a number of years,” said GrayRobinson President Byrd F. “Biff” Marshall, Jr. “I am confident she will work to develop meaningful programs to improve Florida’s justice system.”
The AV-rated and board certified attorney counsels clients and litigates on a full range of legal issues that arise from family relationships. Her practice focuses on family law, as well as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Aside from leading The Florida Bar Foundation, Cummings also serves as a representative to the American Bar Association House of Delegates, is a member of The American and International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She has been consecutively selected as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” since 2007 as well as a Florida Trend “Super Lawyer” for six consecutive years. She was also named one of the top 50 female Super Lawyers in 2008.
Cummings received her juris doctorate from Nova Southeastern Law School, her master’s degree from Barry University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama.
