Edward Welch Joins Broad and Cassel West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.; March 7 2011 — Patricia Lebow, managing partner of the West Palm Beach office of the Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel, is pleased to announce the addition of Edward Welch to the West Palm Beach office. Mr. Welch will serve as an associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group.

Mr. Welch has been practicing in the tri-county area for nearly a decade, focusing on complex business matters, bankruptcy, consumer transactions and the construction industry. He has litigated in both state and federal courts, and is a skilled appellate practitioner.

Working as a legal intern for U.S. Representative Stephen F. Lynch of Massachusetts, Mr. Welch developed an invaluable understanding of the political arena, preparing congressional policy recommendations for state budget deliberations and drafting proposed legislation, including the Mandatory Overtime for Nurses Bill and the Internet privacy Act.

Mr. Welch is a graduate of Boston University and received his juris doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. He has been honored as a “Florida Rising Star” in 2009 by Super Lawyers magazine and received the “Silver Medallion Award” from the Supreme Court of Florida for community service that same year.
