Christopher T. Borzell has joined McCumber, Daniels, Buntz, Hartig & Puig

Christopher T. Borzell has joined McCumber, Daniels, Buntz, Hartig & Puig, as an associate in Tampa. Borzell focuses on first-party property coverage, premises liability, auto liability, bad-faith, and commercial litigation.  Prior to joining McCumber Daniels, Mr. Borzell worked as in-house litigation counsel for a large national insurance company.

While attending the University of Florida, Mr. Borzell clerked for a boutique law firm handling primarily first-property defense cases for some of the nation’s largest insurers as well as for various other smaller insurance carriers. Mr. Borzell continued handling property insurance cases after his admission to the Florida Bar where he gained experience in handling a variety of first-party property disputes relating to sinkhole, windstorm, fire, mold and water losses. Additionally, he has handled a variety of property liability claims, which include trip/fall, dog bite, personal watercraft, and the defense of a variety of other personal injury claims.

A Tampa native, Mr. Borzell attended Tampa Preparatory School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida, magna cum laude. And, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. While in law school, Mr. Borzell worked with Three Rivers Legal Services providing legal assistance for indigent clients in landlord-tenant disputes.

Mr. Borzell is also a member of the Tampa Bay Inn of Court.
