Description: Among the many tasks of a legal administrator, you must be able to produce well-written communications quickly and creatively. How do you maximize your communication capacity? This extended session will explore techniques that can take you from brainstorming to drafting in record time. Here you will discover the four-stage planning and drafting process that has been successful from classrooms to law offices. Learning Objectives:
Use the covered techniques to organize and strategize projects
Create effective written communications
Define the process for teaching people of all abilities how to use the writing process to become more effective planners and writers

Speaker:  Elizabeth Strauss Carson, Ph.D. has more than 30 years of middle school, secondary, and college-level teaching experience specializing in College Composition, Communic .ation Skills, Curriculum Development, British and American Literature, Writing Across the Curriculum, and Standardized Testing. She has worked in Immigration Law and drafted numerous Outstanding Researcher and Extraordinary Ability petitions. She is a frequent presenter at ALA conferences helping numerous legal administrators become more efficient and effective writers.
