STEPHEN H. REISMAN NAMED VICE CHAIRMAN OF PECKAR & ABRAMSON, P.C.

Miami, FL — Stephen H. Reisman has been appointed Vice Chairman of  Peckar & Abramson, P.C.
As Vice Chairman, Reisman will work with Chairman Steven M. Charney to manage Peckar & Abramson’s national and international operations, serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and is the Co-Managing Partner of the Miami office, with attorney Gary M. Stein. Both Reisman and Stein were longtime partners at Rosenberg, Reisman & Stein in Miami, prior to a merger with Peckar & Abramson in 2001. Prior to this, Reisman was formerly Managing Partner of the firm’s Miami office. Peckar & Abramson has a history of more than 60 years in South Florida.

Florida Bar Certified as a Construction Law Specialist, Reisman’s primary area of practice is Construction Law. He represents general contractors, construction managers and other construction professionals in the negotiation and preparation of construction documents and the negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation of construction contract claims, construction and design defect claims, insurance claims, surety bond claims and related matters.

Reisman’s construction law practice also includes project administration assistance for the early identification and resolution of potential conflicts and disputes. His general litigation practice includes real estate, banking, insurance and contract disputes, business torts and property damage claims.

From its roots a small New Jersey based construction law practice established by Robert Peckar and Richard Abramson 40 years ago, Peckar & Abramson has accomplished measured growth with the merger of established firms in Florida and Washington D.C. and the creation of new offices in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County and Chicago. The firm now boasts 95 lawyers, with 80 practicing construction law and the others engaged in complimentary practices.
