Clinton Payne Joins Defense Litigation Practice of Hinshaw & Culbertson

CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA, June 11, 2012– Clinton S. Payne has joined  Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP ’s Defense Litigation Practice. He will practice in the Coral Gables office. Mr. Payne comes to Hinshaw from DeMahy Labrador Drake Victor Payne & Cabeza in Coral Gables, where he had been a partner for nine years.

Kammer, partner-in-charge of Hinshaw’s Coral Gables office. Mr. Payne focuses his practice in defense litigation in the areas of premises liability, products liability, personal injury, insurance coverage, professional liability and medical malpractice defense.

Mr. Payne serves on two committees of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida: (1) the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee on Rules and Procedures (2007–present); and (2) the Ad Hoc Committee on Attorney Admission, Peer Review and Attorney Grievance (2010–present). He began his legal career as a judicial law clerk to Judge Federico A. Moreno of the same court.

Mr. Payne earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1994. He completed a portion of his legal studies at the University of Virginia School of Law. Mr. Payne received his B.A. from Stanford University in 1990.
