Peter Quinter and Melissa Groisman Establish New Customs and International Trade Law Group at GrayRobinson


Miami, FL — March 30, 2012 — Peter Quinter has joined GrayRobinson, P.A. as a Shareholder in the firm’s Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices, along with Associate Melissa Groisman. With over 23 years of experience in legal matters involving international trade, Quinter will chair the firm’s newly-formed Customs and International Trade Law Group with Groisman’s support.

Peter Quinter
Quinter, a board-certified attorney in international law, has substantial experience providing legal advice and representation to persons and companies in all matters involving the administration and enforcement of international trade and U.S. Customs law. In his early career, he provided assistance to the U.S. Department of Justice in civil and criminal prosecutions on a variety of customs violations, including commercial fraud, trade embargoes and export controls. He is admitted to practice in Federal court in the State of Florida as well as the United States Court of International Trade.
As a recognized leader within the legal community, he has been appointed to the Florida District Export Council by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. In 2011, he was among Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite,” Florida Super Lawyers and “Best Lawyers in America” in the area of FDA Law.
Quinter earned his Juris Doctorate from The American University’s Washington College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Cornell University.

Melissa Groisman
Groisman will support the Customs and International Trade Law Group. She has gained substantial experience representing both domestic and multinational corporations in matters arising before numerous federal agencies, including the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Groisman is a south Florida native and is a native Spanish speaker fluent and Hebrew speaker. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, her Master’s degree in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University and Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Computer Science from Duke University.
