Jill K. Schmidt has joined Befera Joli & Velázquez in Miami

Jill K. Schmidt has become as associate at Befera Joli & Velázquez in Miami. Schmidt focuses on family law/divorce and civil litigation.

Ms. Schmidt is admitted to practice in the State of Florida. She began working with the firm as a law clerk in June 2010. Ms. Schmidt received her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating magna cum laude, in 2011 and her B.S. Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Central Florida in 2007.

While attending the University of Miami School of Law, Ms. Schmidt was a member of the Moot Court Board, winning the Advanced Moot Court Competition and the award for Best Brief. Additionally, Ms. Schmidt was an intern and later a fellow with the Street Law Program, providing practical, participatory education about law, democracy and human rights at Coral Gables Senior High School.
