Broad and Cassel’s Tampa Office Welcomes David M. Brickhouse and Lauren L. Lewis


TAMPA, Fla.; November 14, 2011 — The Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel is pleased to announce the addition of David M. Brickhouse and Lauren L. Lewis as associates in the Tampa office. Brickhouse joins the Commercial Litigation Practice Group and Lewis joins the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group.

Brickhouse previously worked as a law clerk at Broad and Cassel and prior to joining the firm served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Edward LaRose, Second District Court of Appeal of Florida.

Brickhouse received his juris doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law, finishing at the top of his class. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Florida Honors College, cum laude.

Lewis also previously worked at Broad and Cassel as a law clerk and summer associate, and served as an intern for the Honorable Caryl E. Delano, United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Florida. She also served as a law clerk, summer associate, and legal assistant at two other Tampa-based law firms.

Lewis received her juris doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law. She was the recipient of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association Judge Alexander L. Paskay Scholarship Award and was a part of the Phi Delta Phi, Legal Honor Society. Lewis was also a member of the Bankruptcy Law Society. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Social Science, cum laude, from the University of Tampa.

With 25 new hires across the state so far this year, Broad and Cassel continues its statewide growth in a number of practice areas, including Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation. The firm has also recently hired a number of first-year associates to assist in varying practice areas.
