ATTORNEYS ROBERT W. HUDSON AND ALEXIS A. CALLEJA FORM HUDSON & CALLEJA, LLC

CORAL GABLES, FL (November 7, 2011) – Robert W. Hudson, Esq. and Alexis A. Calleja, Esq. have formed Hudson & Calleja, LLC, a certified minority-owned, boutique law firm specializing in the areas of personal injury, employment and labor, first party insurance coverage, and commercial and business litigation. 
Previously, Hudson was a named partner and the Chair of the Litigation Department at Infante, Zumpano, Hudson & Miloch, LLC, after having worked many years at Carlton Fields, where he was a shareholder. Calleja was a junior partner at Infante, Zumpano, Hudson & Miloch after working at Rumberger, Kirk and Caldwell. In their new roles, Rob Hudson and Alexis Calleja will act as shareholders and co-managing partners of the firm with corporate clients including Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.; State Farm Florida Insurance Company; Florida Gaming Centers, Inc./Casino Miami; Capital Hotel Management; Diplomat Properties, LP; Windhaven Insurance; and Osprey Financial Services.

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Hudson attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. He continued his studies at the University of Miami School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1993. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1993 and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 1994. He was admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 1995 and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit in 2000.

Hudson is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest peer-review rating possible. He is a member of the Orange Bowl Committee and the current Chairman of the Boards of Directors of both the Zoological Society of Florida and Humane Society of Greater Miami. He also was recently named one of Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida’s 2011 Twelve Good Men of South Florida for his commitment to South Florida charitable causes.

Calleja attended Florida International University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and continued her studies at the University of Florida School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor in 2003. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003. She is a member of The Florida Association of Women Lawyers and The Cuban American Bar Association and is involved in numerous other professional organizations.

Calleja is active in the South Florida civic and charitable communities including The Women’s Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami, The Junior League of Miami, The American Cancer Society of South Florida, The American Red Cross of South Florida and The Community Partnership for Homeless.
