GRAYROBINSON'S JASON SEARL APPOINTED TO CITY OF ORLANDO MUNICIPAL PLANNING BOARD

ORLANDO, FL – September 12, 2011 – Jason W. Searl, a shareholder in the Orlando office of GrayRobinson, P.A., was appointed to serve on the City of Orlando Municipal Planning Board (MPB). The MPB is an advisory board to the city council comprised of citizens who devote their time and talents to a variety of zoning and land development issues in the community.



“Jason is devoted to betterment of the local community,” said GrayRobinson President Byrd F. “Biff” Marshall, Jr. “He has been involved with the City or Orlando for years and we support his involvement with the city.”

Sears was also recently appointed to the Blankner School Foundation’s Board of Directors for a one-year term. The board works closely with Blankner's administration and gives great deference to funding requests made by the principal, teachers and parents.  Since its inception in 2000, the Blankner School Foundation has provided the school with technology enhancements, summer service and reading camps, academic enrichment programs and music equipment.

“Jason is passionate about providing a higher quality of education to students in the community,” said GrayRobinson President Byrd F. “Biff” Marshall, Jr. “As a member of the board, I am confident he will work to help administrators receive the necessary resources to provide students with an exceptional experience at school.”

Recently promoted to shareholder within the firm, Searl is a respected colleague and trusted advisor in the legal industry. His practice includes representing land owners, developers and individuals in matters of environmental, real estate and zoning law. In addition to his real estate experience, Searl has provided his clients escrow and closing agent services, counsel on business entity formation and mergers and acquisitions.

Searl holds membership to The Florida Bar and is also a member of the Environmental and Land Use Law Section. This year he was elected as the vice chair of the Orange County Redistricting Advisory Committee. He also dedicates his time to the Heart to Heart organization and is a graduate of Leadership Orlando.

Searl received his juris doctorate from Stetson University College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Furman University.
