ORLANDO, FL – September 07, 2011 – Randolph H. Fields has joined the Orlando office of GrayRobinson, P.A. Fields brings a wide range of experience in all phases of corporate and commercial law. Most recently, Fields was a shareholder in the Orlando office of Greenberg Traurig.

Fields brings a business-oriented approach to his clients’ problems and focuses his practice on accomplishing his clients’ objectives efficiently and effectively. He has a history of significant representations, including representing a bank holding company in a series of capital raising activities, leading to an eventual merger into a larger company. He also has represented start-up and seasoned companies in IPOs, and served as counsel for sellers and buyers of businesses in more than 200 transactions, involving deals ranging from several million to a billion dollars.
Fields is deeply involved in local professional and community organizations, having served on the boards of directors of the Economic Development Commission of Mid-Florida, the Central Florida Innovation Corporation, the American Field Service, HomeBancorp, Inc., and Gencor Industries, Inc. In addition, he also served as chairman of a number of organizations, including the Orlando Municipal Planning Board, the Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College, the Orlando Opera Company, and State of Florida’s Black Business Investment Board.
In addition, Fields has been named as a “Most Influential Businessman” by the Orlando Business Journal in 2009 and was listed as one of the “Best Lawyers in Orlando” by Orlando Magazine in 2010. Fields is also a frequent lecturer on acquisitions, mergers and securities law.
He received his undergraduate degree with high honors from Dartmouth College, and M.B.A. and J.D. from the University of Michigan.
