A Miami-based commercial law firm, Tew Cardenas LLP represents, advises, and counsels for a full array of clients, including individuals, domestic and international companies and federal, state and local governments.
Malphurs focuses his practice on commercial litigation. Prior to law school, he served as an armor officer in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Captain. Following his Army service, he worked as a systems engineer consulting on the design and implementation of data center infrastructure. Prior to joining Tew Cardenas, Malphurs was an associate at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.
He received his bachelor’s degree as a Distinguished Cadet from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York and earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. He is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
Turken also focuses his practice on commercial litigation. Prior to joining Tew Cardenas, he was a Felony Prosecutor in the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office for five years where he prosecuted violent and economic crimes. He also served in a clerkship clinic for Judge Jean Hamilton of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Turken received his bachelor’s degree from Pomona College in Claremont, CA, and earned his Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law where he was an editor for the Washington University Law Review, recipient of the Samuel L. Breckenridge Book Award, the Judge Amandus Brackman Moot Court Prize, and the CALI Award for Appellate Advocacy. He is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts.
