Bilzin's Adam F. Haimo elected to Lawyers For Children America's National Board of Directors

Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced that Adam F. Haimo, partner in the firm's Litigation Group, was elected to Lawyers For Children America's National Board of Directors.  In this capacity, he will advise on issues directly impacting Lawyers For Children America's mission to protect the rights of abandoned, abused and neglected children in the South Florida community.  Earlier this month, Mr. Haimo was honored with the 2011 John Edward Smith Child Advocacy Award for his active involvement in the organization.   

Mr. Haimo practices in all areas of civil litigation, with significant trial practice experience in federal, state and appellate courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings.  His experience includes complex commercial litigation, litigation of business torts, construction litigation and other civil matters involving real estate.  Mr. Haimo's practice also includes the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts on behalf of owners, contractors, engineers and architects.   


Lawyers For Children America is a non-profit organization that protects the rights of children who have been abused, abandoned and neglected by providing quality pro bono legal representation and collaborating for systematic change to improve the lives of children.  In 2011, the Lawyers For Children America awarded Bilzin Sumberg the Volunteer Firm of the Decade award for its continued commitment to the organization.
